News Turkish airlines

Dear Valuable Partners,

Greetings from Turkish Airlines Beirut Office,

Please be informed of the following update regarding the carriage of Passenger Accompanied Pets (PETC):

  • Effective 21 April 2026, the carriage of pets in the Business Class cabin has been discontinued and any PETC reservation requests in Business Class submitted after this date will be denied.
  • Business Class passengers may arrange an AVIH reservation for their pet (animal carried in the aircraft hold as accompanied baggage). Alternatively, if they wish to travel in the cabin with their pet, they may choose Economy Class and proceed by submitting a PETC reservation request.

o   The carriage of pets (PETC) in the Economy Class cabin will continue unchanged in accordance with the existing rules.

o   Passengers whose reservations for the carriage of pets (PETC) in the Business Class cabin were confirmed prior to 21 April 2026 shall be exempt from this regulation

o   Passengers who purchased a Business Class ticket before the specified date and whose pet (PETC) reservation had been confirmed experience an operational disruption on their scheduled flight (such as cancellation, delay, misconnection, etc.), they shall continue to be eligible for the carriage of pets (PETC) in the Business Class cabin in the event of any subsequent ticket changes to a later date.

o   There is no change to the procedures for the carriage of pets carried under the SVAN category, and the current practices shall remain in effect.

Best regards.
